GO-IBR

NERC’s plan outlines its intent to make amendments to both its Rules of Procedure and Registry Criteria. These changes aim to introduce a new registered entity function known as Generator Owner – Inverter Based Resources (GO-IBRs). This function will encompass IBR projects that meet the following criteria:

  1. IBR projects with a combined nameplate capacity ranging from 20 MVA to 75 MVA, all of which are connected at a voltage equal to or greater than 100 kV.
  2. IBR projects with an aggregate nameplate capacity equal to or exceeding 20 MVA, all interconnected at a voltage less than 100 kV.
